Not all Karate clubs are the same, with most clubs you are asked to pay on monthly terms, regardless of whether you attend classes or not. We feel this makes you, as a parent, make your child attend. This is something we discourage. We want children to enjoy training and hopefully enjoy coming to the classes in order to further their training. When you first join the club you will not need any specialist clothing, you can wear loose training clothes such as track suit bottoms and t-shirt (most students prefer shorter sleeves when training). However after a few sessions most students like to buy a Karate Gi. This is a Martial Arts Suit which is generally 100% cotton and suited to Karate training. You can buy your suit from your instructor. Your Gi can be embellished with a club badge which can also be purchased from your instructor.
